Katriina Valli has been working in IT since 1997, she takes technology seriously but is not too uptight about it. Her IT career started at Nokia Networks where she transformed the production of Technical Documentation from a VAX/VMS environment to XML via SGML. Moving on from there she was responsible for creating the first true SaaS end-to-end solution for Technical Documentation production and delivery in Europe in 2002. This solution was used by companies such as Nokia, Wärtsilä, ABB and Valtra.
Katriina also worked at Gartner as Vice President, Research for 5 years, taking an analytic view of what is happening in IT globally. That is where her interest in AI began. After Gartner she set up a Robotic Process Automation practise at Knowit, developing the methods, sales approach and skills development. She finally established a AI company in 2018, ran it for 5+ years before selling her majority stock in the company which is still thriving.
Now she works as an independent consultant, providing advisory services for organizations on their AI journey, as well as business landing services for organizations looking for international expansion.
She is a sought-after presenter in a variety of events, providing very down-to-earth experiences on AI and Data.
