In 1964, the state participated in the establishment of \u010cSOB through its majority shareholder \u2013 \u0160t\u00e1tna banka \u010ceskoslovensk\u00e1. In the then Czechoslovakia, \u010cSOB was the only bank that provided foreign trade financing and supervised foreign currency loans from international markets. After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, \u010cSOB started to provide its services not only to the then foreign trade companies, but also to newly emerging businesses and individuals. The product expansion was accompanied by an increase in the number of points of sale\/branches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, \u010cSOB is one of the largest Slovak banks and, thanks to the other members of the \u010cSOB Financial Group, provides a wide portfolio of products and services to retail clients, SMEs, the corporate segment, and private clients.
